Two letters came to the house about two routes that we would be on for the week of November 1, 2010. On the morning of 11/1, neither of those, nor the bus we had been on for 3 weeks prior, had our child on their roster. I checked with the company and two of the escorts whose numbers I had. Father had to take child to . . . read more »

Today the principal called at about 3:30 PM to inform us that our child was still at school (dismissal is at 2:40 PM). The bus had still not arrived to bring our child home. The principal was very apologetic and said that there was a "mix-up" with the extended day program and that *all* the kids on the bus were still in school. Our child was ok . . . read more »

School starts at 8:05. Arrival times on a bus whose route zigs and zags all around the city were ranging from 8:45 to 9:20 the first few weeks of school. This is despite the fact that children were stepping onto this bus as early as 7:00 a.m., that is, spending an average of two hours on their morning commute!* Now (on the fourth . . . read more »

We are informed via text message from the school at 2:45 PM that our child's bus was in an accident this morning and he did not arrive at school until 10:45 AM This was in response to a text inquiry from us after another parent told us that our child was late to school. Normal pick-up time is 7:10 AM, bus arrives at 7:40 AM. Driver informs me that there are "inspections" all over town, some buses are "one hour late". Bus arrives at school at 8:50 AM, half an hour late. I call OPT to inquire about the nature of the inspection in mid-morning. OPT customer service rep David informs me that he is unaware of any . . . read more »

My child came off the standard bus crying with a big red mark across their cheek. The matron informed me that when she had disembarked to escort teenagers from other schools onto the bus, and one of the older children got out of their seat and accosted my child. My child was smacked and a pencil was shoved in his ear. I immediately took my . . . read more »

In Dec 2009, two hats were stolen from my child on the bus.  My child told me who had done it, and when I informed OPT (2 complaints and called the school), I was told that the they were looking into the incident. I have yet to hear back.

When my child was switched to standard size bus, he immediately started coming home saying that he was being picked on and called names. I complained to principal and OPT and was told to tell the matron to switch his seat.
