Missing School Bus #3

Monday, November 29, 2010 9:30:49 PM Categories: No show
This morning the bus was a no-show. We called the bus company at about 7:40 (pick up time is usually 7:05 - 7:15). After a being put on hold for a while we were told that the bus had broken down and was on its way. The bus company could not tell us when the bus would arrive because the radio was broken. At 8:00 AM, I decided to give up and took . . . read more »

This morning the School Bus never showed up. We first waited on the street for two hours, with my young child carrying a backpack, standing on the sidewalk with a temperature in the mid 30’s. As our Bus driver & Matron decline to provide a mobile number, the only way for me to be informed is through the Company's Dispatcher, who never . . . read more »

Accident - still no proper notification

My child’s school bus had an accident in our neighborhood on October 27, 2010. I could hear the sirens of the emergency vehicles from our home, and little did I know that my child was there. Nobody called to inform me of the situation despite the fact that they spent three hours on the bus during the ordeal. Fortunately nobody was injured, . . . read more »

Four students have been trying to change bus since September. Young students are mixed with violent high school students from another school. Students have thrown paper, water bottles and have spit out of the bus. In addition they have physically assaulted one another and yelled profanities at other students, the driver and the matron. More Late Arrivals and Excessive Time

Monday, November 22, 2010 2:44:52 PM Categories: Excessive Time Late to School O.P.T.
Late arrival- bus arrival times are logged daily at all locations. Children consistently arrive late to school and miss mandated therapies scheduled for first period. Late arrivals have gotten slightly better as the year has progressed but are still a problem. Experience from past years shows that the late arrivals will pick up again when the . . . read more »

This morning we waited for the bus at the usual time. The bus had not arrived after a while so we called the bus company. We were informed that the bus driver had come and we were not there so the driver left. Our building's doorman reported that he had seen no school bus arrive that morning at any time. This was another no-show, so we had to . . . read more »

Complaints Ignored

I have a student, who because of the amount of children on his bus, gets to school at 9 AM every day. The bus must pick up and drop off students at multiple schools. We are talking about special students who need every minute that they can receive at school, and they are missing an entire period of learning and teaching each and every . . . read more »

Another ridiculously late pick-up

Wednesday, November 10, 2010 1:00:00 AM Categories: Late to School No show O.P.T.
Today we had to take our child to school becuase the bus had not arrived. It did eventually show up at 9:00 AM! 40 minutes after school starts. Apparently a child who is picked up in Staten Island was added to the route. Staten Island is nowhere near us or our child's school, hence the ridiculously late pick-up time. We filed a complaint with . . . read more »

Does anyone know what's going on?

Tuesday, November 09, 2010 8:09:00 PM Categories: Too Many Routes
Yesterday our child's PM driver informed us that the AM drive will be bringing our child home today because of the parent teacher conference and early dismissal. When we asked the AM driver if this was true, he had no idea what we were talking about. So we called the PM bus company and they told us that our child will be on the AM route home. . . . read more »
